Another United airlines question--award ticket booked on Continental?

Jump to last reply

I haven't flown UAL or Continental in years and have two questions. I booked two award tickets on Continental before the merger. I booked business class going out, and economy on the way home. I don't believe UAL lets you do that. If I need to make a date change, will I still be able to keep business class in the one direction?

Second question. I was checking our flights yesterday and noticed they made a fairly minor time change to the connecting flight. (We didn't receive any notification. ) They want me to "accept" it. Is there any reason to call and do this instead of doing so online? I know wait times are insane, but I got a little confused when reading about problems Flyertalkers have had recently when accepting time changes for flights booked on Continental. I didn't know if it was somehow smarter to talk to an agent about it first??

Thanks so much.
