We are flying American airlines from Chicago Ohara to Cancun. Was wondering the same question? How early should we arrive at the airport before our flight leave? Thanks

I've flown AA to Brasil a number of times. I've found the service very good. I usually route via DFW from SEA.

TAM code shares with AA. If you haven't already bought tickets, check the TAM fares as sometimes they are $200 cheaper for the same flight. You get AA FF miles but aren't able to upgrade using certificates or miles flying a TAM# with AA metal (plane).

Also, AA/TAM fares are usually cheaper if you are going outside of Rio or Sao Paulo. For example, from Seattle going to Recife with a stop in Rio (AA/TAM) would be cheaper than 2 tickets on AA Seattle-Rio and another ticket Rio-Recife on TAM.

Anyway you get there you are sure to have a great time!

Done JFK-GRU (sao paulo)3 times in the past 10 months. No complaints. Flight 951 generally leaves ontime and service is fine in coach(not more or less than you would expect). They also have new 777's with screens at each seat so you can pick your flicks. Boa viagem!
