Airlines that fly Cleveland-Key West?

Looking to fly into Key West the first or second weekend of December just for the weekend. Which airlines please?

I would recommend www.kayak.com. Don't think you will find a direct flight. You will either need to stop in Atlanta, Orlando or Miami. Once you find the best airline, go to the airlines website so you get bonus miles for booking it there.

Only 3 major airlines fly to Key West, USAir, Delta or American Airlines.

There are couple of smaller, independent airlines, Cape Air comes to mind, and maybe they codeshare with Continental, but I'm not sure.

Anyways, I would stick with one of the major ones to get the best price, but as noted earlier, you will have to make a connection somewhere.

Another possibility, although I'm not sure if it would work for you, is to fly into FT.Myers and catch a boat to Key West. I believe the boat costs ~$100 R/T, but the problem is that it leaves very early in the morning and returns in the evening so it probably means 2 nights in Ft.Myers. Like I said, it's kind of fun, but it could be expensive and time wasting if you only want to do a weekend in Key West.

Cape Air basically codeshare with all other airlines that don't fly into Key West. Yes, Continental is one of them. They use Beech 1900D that seats 18 or 19.

Thank you for the very good information! Our time has changed and we are now looking at Dec 28th to the 30th or 31st or even to the first, whatever is cheaper and found out none of it is cheaper. Upwards of $600.00 pp from all the airlines flying there. So we have to scratch it. We have two coming from Houston and four from Cleveland. Any ideas of cheap flights somewhere where we could all meet for a few days celebration of the holiday's? Thanks again.

If you are willing to fly on Christmas Day or New Years you might find better prices. You are booking too early and the airlines are trying to maximize profits. Come late October and they realize that the flights are only half full, they will lower their prices. In the meantime, think of three places you would like to go and periodically check for prices. Key West could be 50 degrees or 85 during that time. How about Jamaica or an all-inclusive resort in the Carribean.

Don't try to fly from West Palm Beach to Key West as the prices each week in our local newspaper are around $600. Use either Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando or Atlanta. AA had Miami to Key West (RT) on sale recently for $119.
However, it was for this weekend.
