Airfare prediction website.

Heard in the news this morning about the new website www.farecast.com – they claim they can predict the price in the future, a patent is pending.

For now they only do it for 2 cities: Boston and Seattle.

Your thoughts?

Cool site. I think I will pick a couple of routes and watch them for a while and see if the predictions come true.

Gardyloo: surfing the above website, NO ;)

Jamal, set aside those mai-tai's or martini's (by the way, invented in SF, did you know that?) and give us a sober report.

They only do it for 2 cities, but they offer many destinations -- so just turn the itinerary inside out. E.g., Bos-Atl-Atl-Bos should give you an idea of what it would be atl-bos-bos-atl.

hopefully they'll open it up to international travel as well.

Faina...Faina...Faina[-X. It is only the cocktails((D)) that allow me to tolerate the hours and hours of tedious research:-" required to determine the validity of the "farecast" website. I know it is not healthy:-& but it is the sacrifice that i feel I need to make for my fellow Fodorites.:S-
