Air Tran questions please
I just booked our first flights with Air Tran and have a question about seating. Do I understand to pick any seats there's at least a $6.00 charge? DH and I would like to sit together, but I'm not real fond of putting more money in the flights than necessary. Thanks in advance, Fodorites.

Yes, u have to pay to get your seat assigned prior to checking in. If you're plane is not full, u should be able to get seats together at check in, but its a gamble. U could keep checking the flight and if it starts to fill up, buy the seats then.

Thank you, I appreciate your information. It certainly doesn't seem right to have to "purchase" plain old seats, but the price of the flights were right so I guess I should be pleased with that aspect of it.
