We just flew in Oct, LAX to Fiji, and I had booked a window and middle seat and surprisingly the aisle seat stayed empty. So it can happen.

Just returned from our flights on Air Pacific. Service is good. I did find out that the upper deck is where you want to sit if you do not want crying children to keep you awake all night. All the families are put in the first two rows of the cabins (except upper deck). On the return we (Hubby & I) scored wonderful seats in a row on the upper deck. No on else sat in our 3 seat row. Heaven for a TransPac flight!

Good Job. But don't expect that to happen between Christmas/New Year's. Those flights are FULL.

Glad it worked out well with that empty seat in the middle. Thanks for the heads up on the upper cabin.
