Air France vs. Delta Business Class

Have recently asked question as reply to Paris
trip report, so forgive the repetition, but perhaps
will get additional input in this forum. Has anyone recently flown Delta Business Elite to Paris (I have upcoming tix from LA via Atlanta to Paris)? Agent made an error, and could have gone non-stop LA-CDG on Air France Business class as code share. Of course, no longer available, and can not be corrected. Not terribly upset, but flew Delta Business Elite last year via Cincinnati to London and was severely disappointed. Several posters have said that Delta is very good (e.g. Air France "pitch" is bad), but wonder what general standard is for flight to Paris on French "national" airline. Thank you for any recent input.

Boonie - I've flown both airlines to Paris several times and prefer Delta's Business Elite. Delta seems to have more room and the seat was more comfortable. Personally, I felt the food, service and entertainment options in Business Elite were more to my liking. However, Air France as a really nice Business Class as well.

FYI....I believe Air France has a first class cabin on your preferred routing (LA - CDG) as well. Is this an option?

Have flown both--went on Delta in Business Elite this summer. The seats are about the same, service about the same. I thought the food on Air France was a bit better, the wines were good on both. There were more varied movie selections on Air France (several French movies that one wouldn't see in the US). Either is perfectly acceptable, though this year, I was really glad I was on Delta as the day we left was during a transit workers strike and most Air France flights were either cancelled or horribly delayed!

I have flown DL Business Elite and Affaires numerous times. I must side with AF Affaires.
1. The cabin is much more elegant.
2. The cuisine is superior with better wines and presentation as well as a cheese course.
3. The seat while, an angled lie flat is more spacious and less cramped.
4. Look for the 777-300 with the newest seats and AVOD.
5. The service can be a bit stuffy but not much. It is however much more professional and great amenity kits and uniforms.
The Affarires Lounge is a business lounge while DL is on the normal Sky Club.
6. CDG can be a bit of a challenge for both airlines.
