Air France biz class - how is it?

My wife and I are flying to Paris this summer from Atlanta. We are booked in business class. Could anyone share their experience in AF biz regarding type of seats, food, in-flight entertainment, biz class lounge at CDG, service, etc?

Check out Flyertalk.com, go to the AirFrance section. NEVER have I seen an airline (other then Aeroflot in the old days) panned so badly.

My husband and I had the horrible displeasure of flying both in and out of France on our trip to Asia last year. Both times we flew business class on Air France. Not only were the flight crews rude and unhelpful but the special meal I ordered was inedible. At least when I filed a complaint with the airline I received a form letter telling me they were sorry. The seats didn't recline enough (one of the reasons I pay for business or first class seats). I think Continental has a much, much better business class.

I've flown Air France business class several times as a way to use airline points. The counter staff and lounges are wonderful. The fleet of planes used for North America are older and not what I'd call state of the art. The service is very French so you may find it stand-offish. I don't. But don't look for warm and friendly. It's not their way. The food is better than most US carriers. You might want to bring a couple of your own bottles of Evian on board. The seats are indeed uncomfortable and don't recline as far as I'd prefer. It's livable but not luxury by any means.

Thank you all! I checked out Flyertalk.com & decided to cancel a business class reservation on Air France for British Airways. Costs a bit more, but I'd prefer to arrive with my luggage and no back problems!!!
The new British Airways flat beds in biz class are amazing good choice to change, get a seat facing the back of the plane (at least I prefer that) and enjoy.

Have a great trip
