Air Berlin and Brussels Airlines questions

Flying on both these airlines next week just within Europe. Two questions:

1. They both have online web check-in. Can I check in on my phone and get the boarding pass emailed to me or will I need to print them out? This is for both Air Berlin and Brussels Airlines

2. My husband flies with his CPAP machine. Brussels Airlines does list that you are able to bring medical equipment in addition to your carryon, but Berlin Air does not mention this. Will his CPAP count as a carryon?

Yes, both airlines have mobile check-in and will send boarding passes by mail (or you use their free Apps).
When you use your phone to go to their websites, the mobile version should come up.
Keep in mind that you check in only 23hrs (Brussels Airlines) or 30hrs (AirBerlin) prior to departure.
But both airlines also have check-in kiosks at the airports where you can print yourself a boarding pass in case something does not work with your phone.

No, but check the requirements:

In case the link does not work:
This item can be found when you navigate via "Services" to "Accessible Flying".

This past month we flew on Air Berlin twice. Cpap was noted as medical equipment so didn't count as a carry on.
