AF Airbus380 JFK to Paris

Do you recommend AF Airbus 380 from JFK to Paris rather than the 777 from JFK or the United flight from Newark to Paris on the 757. Any comments on choosing the Airbus 380. I am a bit apprehensive about flying out of JFK and a bit apprehensive tllying on the Airbus 380.

If you're flying in coach, AF's 380 is the most comfortable of your choices. AF's 777 are all (or mostly) 3-4-3 seating now. I don't know why you are apprehensive about this aircraft.

Recently flew Singapore Airlines A380 from Singapore to Sydney. We chose to sit on the upper deck of economy after hearing it was more spacious. Up there it is 2-4-2 and I assuming this is the same as the AF A380. Was a good experience though, highly impressed!

In addition to your concerns about the A380 you also mention you are apprehensive about flying from JFK. Why? I just flew a few days ago from JFK and it was fine, in fact I liked it more than some other airports I have used.

If you will help us to understand your concerns about these issues I think we can put your mind at ease.

AF has two different 380 configurations. One of them only has a couple rows of regular economy at the very back of the upper deck. Most of the economy seats are downstairs in 3-4-3, so there may not be an option to sit upstairs.

I just booked the Airbus 380-800 from LAX to CDG and got a seat in economy on the upper deck. Very few coach seats up there. I feel fortunate. Hopefully, it will be quiet and I'll be able to sleep. Will report back in July when I return.

From my experiences the A380 has been exceptionally quiet from the upper to lower and from front to back. Great aircraft
