Aer Lingus, Lax to Snn
 

Has anyone taken Aer Lingus flight 144 Lax to Shannon? If so what can you tell me about it. I have never flown Aer Lingus before, anything to report would be helpful, thanks alot, Buck

Took Aer Lingus several years ago Boston to Shannon. Fine flight, but obviously a much shorter trip than from West Coast.

Flight runs via Dublin there and back which makes it a little tedious. not always same aircraft/you may have to change. seat back tvs etc but legroom is as bad as BA(possibly worse). A330 is great aircraft. <BR><BR>Service is so so - really an airline for the staff not the passengers

Buck,<BR>I don't beleive that Aer Lingus flies that route directly. I'll believe it is a code share flight with American. <BR><BR>You'll probably fly AA to JFK in NY or O'Hare in Chicago for a connection to AL. <BR><BR>If you are making a connection anyway, I beleive that Continental flies to Shannon from its hub in Newark.

Hi Rae,<BR>Aer Lingus does fly Lax to Shannon via Dublin. We are booked on that flight. We have to fly American from Sfo to Lax then direct to Dublin and then Shannon. Take a look at their website if you are interested and see their route map and fares. We could have gone the other ways but would have had to leave SFO early in the morning, this route we leave at 1:15 pm to Lax and then 5:15pm to Ireland direct. Thanks anyway for your input, Buck

I would choose Delta with a connection in Atlanta,mostly because of the 777 from ATL to SNN.

I agree DL to SNN. Was on that flight several years ago. SNN is a great airport to fly in to, small and easy to go through customs. Picking up a car was a snap and we were on our way. I'd love to go there again, such a great country.
