AA to BA - Flatbed Seats in Business Class?

I know AA is upgrading business class seats on its international flights to flatbed, but any recent experience as to whether it is likely our seats non-stop Chicago to Buenos Aires will be flatbed? (It's a 767-300.)

The 767 and 777s are all done, so you will get fully flat but not totally horizontal J seats.

Enjoy the trip to BA. One of my favorite cities in the world.

Hopefully the volcanic ash will be gone and cleared up by the time you go. It was pretty rough last few days. AA cancelled US-BA flights but I believe they are back on.

Have a great trip!

Even though AA states that all the conversions are done, I flew AA 90 from ORD-LHR just two weeks ago and found myself in old style seats. They has, incidentally, not been maintained very well.

It may be that we just got the last one to be updated, but there is no way to tell if you are going to be on a plane with the new seats from the seating chart, etc.

On the other hand, on a 767 from STN-JFK, the new seats were installed and they were very comfortable. They are also easy to control and have nice amenities. The entertainment centers are not permanently installed, rather they are distributed during flight.

Equally important, from my narrow point of view, is that the plane had new drop down overhead bins installed. These are larger than those that were on the 767 in the past, in my recollection. And, the plane I was on did not have equipment stored over 3G and 4A. Because of this and the ample floor storage, it was far easier to deal with carry-on bags.

The 777s are not complete. I was on LHR-LAX this week and it might have been the same plane Jeff801 was referring to - old and worn J seats, old and really worn FSs (where I was.) Definitely ready for the knife.

I'm surprised, but as far as the OP is concerned, she has nothing to worry about. All 767s are done.

Slightly OT, but the overhead bins in the economy section in AA's 767s are still the old kind - can't hold rollaboards lengthwise.
