AA just matched BA fares to UK

I know for a fact AA matched it, because I'm getting money back for my ticketed trip in early Dec. My original ticket was $468, so I'm getting $160 for future travel

I have a feeling that the others will match it too. This is the time to buy your winter/spring tickets to UK.
If it's anything like BA, the sale will only be here for next 3 days. I believe the fares are good till April 2004, but you have to book them now!!!

Check with your favorite airline. AA just loaded the fares about an hour ago, so be patient. If the others will match, the fares may be there already, and if not within hours.

$308 total

TPA-LGA 3Dec
JFK-LHR 3Dec

MAN-ORD 10Dec
ORD-TPA 10Dec

Thanks AA!

What is the likelihood this will be repeated for fall 04 travel? Seems I saw it for last fall like this, and our daughter is supposed to head to London for an exchange but we don't know when yet. Likely fall 04.

AA,
My husband and I will also be in the UK (London to be exact) around the same time. We arrive Dec 4 (from Dusseldorf) and head back to LAX Dec 8. Are you staying in London? If so, perhaps we could meet up at a pub or something. We're staying at 47 Park St in Mayfair

Patty,

Yes. We arrive on the morning of 4DEC. So far we have 2 nights reserved at the Hilton Islington.
On Saturday Dec.6 we head north to Manchester.
So that Thursday or Friday evening would be the only options.
Let me know.

Either evening would be fine with us. We haven't made any plans so far. Do you have any suggestions? I haven't been to London in ages and my husband has never been there. Feel free to email me directly at [email protected] if you'd like. If you already have other plans, I don't want to impose but I thought it'd be fun to actually meet someone I see here so often

I see Northwest was also doing some matching or near-matching on this one and we picked up something for the first weekend of April for under $400. For those who can combine with status bonuses, etc., this can net out to be a VERY cheap excursion.

I have found that most every airline doing NY to London, reduce their prices right after New Year's (about January 4 or 5) at $99 each way, plus about $100 in taxes for a total of about $300+/-. So if you can wait, you might be able to get one of these fares. And these fares are usually go thru mid-April.
