"The AA rep when I questioned how horrible LHR is with the traffic, etc."

Fast-track helps a lot, and I would think that a biz to biz connection would provide that for him. If he finds himself running short on time, he should make sure he mentions this to the staff at the 'flight connection center'. In my experience, they can be pretty good about ushering through folks with tight connections.

Sorry andrews for hijacking your thread but everyone has really helped me with some of the issues!

No problem. Is "hijacking" a good choice of words on an airline thread? (Just being a wise ass).

Thought everyone would enjoy this update on my son's trip back to India. BA was unable to get his luggage to Delhi along with over 75 other people so hopefully he will see it in another two days according to BA. It appears that the luggage snafu that happened at LHR on Tuesday has really screwed things up. I was very surprised that riding business class that the bags did not make it or that they couldn't have gotten them there within 48 hours with several flights a day. Go figure-just hope that the bags will make it up to the city 5 hours north of Delhi where he lives?

As a frequent victim of misdirected luggage I can feel his pain. Thanks for the update.

Welcome to Europe. European carriers
(BA in particular) do a lot of things right, but none of them seem to do a good job with luggage. Hope everything works out, though.

Well, the bags arrived yesterday and everything was still in them. He had quite a few things like "memory sticks for the computer",new shoes and suit and expensive candy from Chicago for everyone so I am relieved. Really thought that it would be a lost cause!
