AA Business Class to Europe
 

The AA website makes it look like their business class seats have all been "updated" and will go into a flat position. Has anyone flown AA business class lately and is this true? We are flying business class to Frankfurt in September.

All of the 763s and more than half of the 777s have been fitted with the new sloped/flat business seats. By September it's pretty certain all AA's overseas equipment will have the new business chairs.

You can find out if the 777 you are flying on has been updated on AA.com.

In the reservations section, go to check available seats. Enter your flight number, date, and select business class.

If the seating chart shows two seats at 8/H/J, the aircraft scheduled for the flight has the new seats installed.

What <b>Jeff801</b> said is good advice, but unfortunately it's not foolproof. Equipment changes are everyday occurance and one really never knows which plane will be sitting at the gate until the morning of, at best, and only guaranteed when you actually step on to the plane.

Good news is that the 777 seat project should be done in few months so the op should be fine.

I just got back 2 weeks ago today from Frankfurt on AA's 763 Business Class and the seats were not going flat. They were comfortable for sleeping but not flat horizontal.
