AA Award Question

Person 1 claims award and gives it to Person 2 (me). Can Person 1 do this entirely online visiting an AA office? If so, how will I get the ticket? Or maybe an E-ticket is possible?

I'm asking because it's difficult for Person 1 to show up at an AA office.

Thanks!

Sorry -- entirely online *without* visiting AA office?

Yes it can be done entirely as an e-ticket. Online - maybe yes, maybe no - depends on destination and carrier. Phoning is always okay though.

Just so we are all clear on this. Person 1 can't claim a ticket in hers/his name and give it to person 2. S/he must claim the ticket in person 2's name.

As stated above, if it's all AA ticket, it can be done on line, but if it involves any partner, calling is necessary.

e-ticket will be issued to persons 2 e-mail address.

Can you do open-jaw online (it's an all AA itinerary?). I don't think that I saw such an option.

Thanks!

No you can't. Anything other than a straight R/T award ticket on AA metal has to be done over the phone.

Make sure that person 1 has all the details about person 2.
