A Question about easyJet
I booked tickets for an easyJet flight between Palermo and Rome. I paid extra for myself and DH for luggage. There is absolutely nothing on my confirmation that indicates that I paid for this. Is this normal with them? I've never flown them and certainly do not wish to get hit with an exorbitant fee at the airport. Also, I'm confused about what this extra charge is supposed to have actually gotten me. Their literature seems to suggest that it only buys you a place for your luggage in cargo, as opposed to carry-on. How do you buy extra weight, which is what I had assumed I paid for. Their web-site is very ambiguous as to what you are actually paying for.

On a recent Easyjet reservation for a friend the 1 suitcase does appear under the name on the right -hand side of the reservation confirmation where the name and date and times are
It also says the amount ( 20kilos). Go to their website and put in your locator numbers and it will show what you have purchased and how much you paid for it. |
Hi lincasanova. There is nothing there, nor on the boarding pass. We paid 22 Euros extra and I have zero proof.
that's strange. can you send them an email? or I think there's a place where you can "add luggage" onto to your reservation before the flight.. pretend you are going to do that to see what comes up on the page.
The email that has this information came from "confirmation@easyjet". Maybe you have another email somewhere.
Here is what it looks like on my friend's confirmation email.. but it is all in spanish.. this is on the right under his name. Lisboa a Valencia Sal 06 abril 2013 11:40 Lleg 06 abril 2013 14:15 Vuelo 7621 La facturación se inicia 06 abril 2013 09:40 La facturación termina el 06 abril 2013 11:00 Asientos Asignado automáticamente Seleccionar asientos 1 Bultos facturados (One suitcase) por vuelo entre todos los pasajeros combinando hasta un peso total de 20kilos Añadir más bultos/peso her at the bottom it says "add another suitcase".. |
Thanks, I just did send them an email. I also found, buried in the pages of my confirmation, it does say 2 checked bags. I feel better. I may add more weight, to be on the safe side.
Great! Easyjet has a very liberal carry-on policy.. no weight limit but only size limit if I recall.
Yes, I reviewed the carry on policy and I don't think I'll need to purchase more weight. I'll put my heaviest stuff in the carry-on.
There is no weight limit however you do need to be able to lift the carry-on and put into the overhead and you need to find space in the overhead, which can be a challenge.
No problem Odin. My carry-on is always a backpack that fits everywhere but can hold quite a bit. It's never so heavy that it can't be lifted!
