24 hr check in; which time zone?
 

We will be in Hawaii. I need to check in for my California Southwest flight. Do I do 24 hours on California time or 24 hours Hawaii time zone. Specifically - we have 11 am flight out of CA. Do I check-in at 11am Calif time [which is 9 am in HI] or must I check in at 11 am HI time [which is 1 pm Calif] time?

Real time. 24 hours before the flight departs at whatever airport. The airline doesn't care if you're doing online check-in in Hawaii, Hong Kong or Hilton Head. If the flight departs from California, then it's 24 hours before in Pacific time.

Nor do they care if you're in Hartford, Hereford, or Hampshire..

That's the beauty of the www. You can be anywhere.

That is what I thought, but I seem to remember not being able to do it at a diff. time zone, but that was awhile ago and I may not be remembering right.

And don't forget that Hawaii is 2 hours behind CA in the winter and 3 hours in spring & summer.
