2.5 hours enough time to arrive at CDG for international flight?

I will be flying back to LAX from CDG on a flight that leaves at 10:50 a.m. I am looking at taking a flight to CDG that morning that is scheduled to arrive at 7:40 a.m. They are both on Air France and looks like arrive and depart out of Terminal 2.

Seems like it will be enough time, but just wanted some reassurance that this seemed doable (barring any delayed flights, of course).

Thanks.

IME - nothing about CDG is typical. Could be fine - could be too short.

I've arrived at CDG 3 hours early and barely made the flight (folks behind me in the queue missed it), and have cut it much closer and had time to spare. Your only 'insurance' is to have both flights on one booking. That way you are protected.

i've already booked my rt LAX-CDG. wonder if i call air france directly if they will let me add the marseilles flight onto the original booking?

janisj... Where are the worst hang-ups at CDG? I'm curious. I'll be flying out of that airport in the next 14 days. I'm 1K with United, so I get to check in at the star alliance gold line, not the regular economy class line. That should cut down my check-in time. But then there is immigration and security. Is that where one can get slowed down?

Needing to leave Paris, the 6th arrond., in time for 9:30am flight. Will be taking a taxi. Suggestions for what time we should leave the apartment? I am thinking by 6:15am?

Thanks.

You don't need to worry about checkin at CDG - you will checkin at Marseilles, so the info about long lines does not apply in your case & you can disregard.

If you need to clear immigration and also need to switch terminals, 2.5 hours is probably not enough time, but anything is possible I suppose. Personally I try to avoid connecting in CDG with less than a three hour layover. That airport is just too unpredictable.
