Yellow Fever vaccination: Zambia-South Africa

Good day Africa-bound travelers,
Following an announcement at the World Health Assembly in Geneva on Friday 30th January 2015, the South African Minister of Health removed the previous requirement for travelers from Zambia to provide proof of Yellow Fever vaccination upon entry (or transit) in South Africa, with effect from 31 January 2015.

Darren, I saw your profile and you seem like a good source of info for Africa. I won't be traveling with children but I'm sure this will help someone else so thank you.

The latest reports from travelers from Zambia are that many travelers are still be required to produce their YF card upon arrival in South Africa. The immigration officers still have outdated information posted in their cubicles and are sticking to it.

Howzit ShayTay,
Yes, I heard that yesterday as well and was about to post it here. As (unfortunately) is the way in this land of Africa, it's always best to cover as many bases as possible, just in case.
