tour of Iran

I am hoping to travel to Iran mid-October. Can anyone please let me know if they have heard of the travel firm Persian Voyages - a tour company in England?

I would be very pleased to hear about this - also has anyone travelled with them.

Many thanks

Pat

Since Iran is still an unusual destination I just wanted to share that I saw Rick Steves on public television last week as part of their fundraiser, he was describing his own Iran trip and he has published a short guide pamplet (about 50 pages) based on it. He is a Europe guidebook author, TV personality and tour organizer. Not everyone is a fan but I am sure he writes about Iran with much enthusiasm. It is likely available on his website. www.ricksteves.com

patjeffery, Iran is one of the few places on this earth I've never considered going. But I have an open mind so please give me more info. I have just a few questions, but please add as much info as you like:

Are you American?
Did you feel safe in Iran?
How do Iranian citizens feel about Americans?
What inspired you to visit Iran?
What were your favorite sites?

I'm anxious to hear more about your trip.

P_M,

Did you read Maxwell's report on her recent trip to Iran? It's fascinating.

P_M, my daughter and I visited Iran in October and found it a most fascinating and beautiful country. Here's a link to a report on our trip: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...lia1&fid=4

And here's a link to photos of some of our favorite places: http://jmstudio.fotopic.net/c1606257.html

Yes, I noticed the Rick Steves show on Iran was on pbs this week. Might be available already in DVD or otherwise through your local station or on Rick Steves website. www.ricksteves.com.
