Tipping guide & driver in israel???

We have a two week private family tour with a guide and a driver in Israel. Four if us in a mini van.

What do we tip them? How do we calculate the tips.

Part of the trip cost we paid directly to the guide.
The driver was not with us every day.
Looking forward to getting your thoughts.

Hello Alain!
Assume you decided how to tip based on the quality of your experiences. I would love to know who you traveled with, we are trying to find just this type of travel experience. Thank you!

I didn't tip in Israel. Based on advice from locals.
We invited the guide to the restaurant with us though.
And we met again in ... Belgium so the guy liked us.

Hello....1) if you are looking for a licensed, private guide, may I suggest Avi Ben Yosef. He is literally world class, so attentive, personable, and is like taking a PhD theology course (I am a Masters seminary student, and have hired him 3x). I cannot recommend him highly enough.

With regard to tipping: it is customary to pay about $500-$650 USD per day for transportation, gas, and his touring services. Additionally, we pay for his overnight accommodations when we are touring outside of Jerusalem. I am told that gratuity is built into the cost of the tour b/c he is self employed. We usually buy him dinner on the last night, and give him a gift of some sort, or $100 USD.

Have a great tour!
