is it right that the best area to see the OvaHimba culture is up in northern Kaokoland {on the way to Epupa falls}?
some companies meet them south of etosha, at:
# <b>Kamanjab</b>
<i>"This is the only traditionally functioning Himba community outside the far north Kaokoland region of Namibia These tribes-people have migrated here, lifestyle and customs intact, and are following their traditional way-of-life in their village on a farm. Oase Village is located about 15 to 20 km outside Kamanjab</i>
# <b> Outjo </b>
another place mentioned in tour itineraries
has anybody been to those places ?

Hey Lynn
as soon as i get time & learn some digital procedures, i'll put up some photos
Have not seen a Quetzal, got probably mostly the commonly seen wildlife.
anything less common? i caught a Boa constrictor on the way to Tortuguero; seen an albino Agouti in Manuel Antonio...

Aby,
Ok, you are granted an extension on Costa Rica. An albino Agouti has to be one for the record books.
As for the Himba, I am working my butt off to get enough money to visit both colorful and not so colorful people plus other places, like a return to Costa Rica. Just provide ME an extension and someday I'll make it there, I promise. In the meantime, feel free to check it out yourself and let us know what you find.

Lynn
just got mail on a deal to CR US$499
includes <u>AIR</u>, 6 nights HOTEL b&B 2X San Jose. Arenal, Monteverde
+ <u>4X4</u> (Toyota)...
Since flight is from the states, it's irrelevant to me, but for Yankees it's cheaper than staying at home
