Tanzania Northern areas, Late May into June

Would you recommend travelling the Northern areas of Tanzania in late May, into June?
I am looking at 3 weeks in the area and am wondering if that's an ok time - weather wise, and viewing of animals on safari? How about Zanzibar in mid June? Is that an ok time to visit these areas? All help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Either late-May or June are great. May though will be at 'low' season rates, whereas, June is at 'peak' season rates.

Zanzibar is fine at that time, but unlike the weather on the mainland with mild daytime temps and cool mornings/nights, the coast/islands are tropical, so hot and quite humid.

Three weeks is a nice long time for N. Tanz and Zanzibar. Maybe even visit Selous for a few days from Zanzibar since you have adequate time. I'd put Selous at the end, as far away from the wet season as possible if you did add it.

If Grumeti area is too expensive for your lodging budget, stay in the more central region and drive west.

Have a good trip.
