Johan,

Really enjoyed all of your photos and especially that interesting shot of the zebras in your other album. Hope you have time to post some more.

Johan, you really should put together that book! I'd buy it!
These are incredible pictures, what kind of equipment were you using?

Lynda,

Thank you for your lovely comments.

I used the following bodies and lenses:

Nikon D2X + Nikon D70

Nikon 80mm-200mm F2,8;
Nikon 300mm F2,8.

I'll buy another body in the near future: Nikon D200 + probably a new supertele lens.

The book will probably put together after my safaris in 2006-2007.

Greetings,

Johan

Absolutely stunning shots, I liked your first series too.

I thought I recognized the Nikon blue sky in first bird picture. Was that the D70?

Which lens did you ise for your last pic? The bokeh reminded me of my 50mm f1.8, which clearly wasnt used...

Do you do a lot of post processing?

Hi,

Glad you liked my pictures.

They were both taken with the D70.

For the last one (the small lion cub) I used the following lens:

300mm F2,8.

It's correct that I do a bit of post processing sometimes.

Greetings,

Johan

Wow! These are incredible! Some of the best shots I've seen anywhere. Are you a professional? My favorite is the lilac breasted roller. We tried for an entire trip to get a shot like that!

I want to grow up and be like you

Aby and Judy,

Many thanks for your appreciation of my work.

I am not a professional photographer at all. I am actually an internal auditor in a private hospital.

The thing is - I've been many times on safari and taken lots of pictures, which weren't great at all but after a while you develop an eye for it. And from then on I decided to buy some decent camera equipment...

The other thing is I've seen many pictures from professional photographers in their books so you know what you are lookin' for.

And at last, the main object of my photography: wildlife in Botswana

I have a special relationship with the Okavango delta ...(love at first sight I guess). I've been on safari in other places but there is only one place that fascinates me that much...

Greetings,

Johan

I know just what you mean - if one finds magic in a place one cannot help but create some good images from that...
As I have said on another thread, your images are very very good, pro level to my mind!
Thanks for sharing more of them!
