Safari In June
Hi all. I have always dreamt of African safari. After reading online forums and reviews over last few days, I have some idea but more of confusion. I am planning to travel with my siblings. we will be 5 (all between 30-35). We have been thinking about mid June 2017. 7 day for wildlife safaris, and 3-4 days of relaxation. Would appreciate suggestions on whether going to Tanzania or Kenya or South Africa. Our main desire is to see big cats/ game-viewing and hopefully wildebeest migration. None of us have been on a safari before. If June would not be a good time we can try to do it later in the year- maybe October or November. Any suggestions on itinerary. I have read about tanzania, how a 7 day safari can be done along with 3 days in Zanzibar. But there are so many pros with Kenya too. hence the confusion. any help is appreciated. thanks

As stated above, different months would be better for different places. You could do a great safari in Tanzania over 7 days and then end with a few nights in Zanzibar.
Lots of options to suit different budgets.
Kenya would be just as great and SA does not have the migration but you could still have a great safari and end with Mozambique.
Africa will creep in your heart and I am sure you will be back.

As someone that has seen most of Southern Africa... South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia. I would recommend South Africa. Especially Johannesburg, Kruger National Park. would even recommend checking out some videos on youtube to give you a better idea.
But as mentioned before the weather is another thing to consider, as that will influence the wildlife you'll be able to see. (June - August).
Besides seeing the vast wildlife you would also be able to take in the rich South African culture, Urban and traditional. Unfortunately far as Tanzania is concerned I couldn't way to too much.
