Question about entry to Namibia and South Africa for US passport holders

Am I correct in my understanding that no visas are required for US passport holders entering either country? Thanks.

no visa for Namibia, but you do have to fill out a form at immigration and have your passport stamped.

No pre visa required. This is stamped into your passport on arrival.

For South Africa though, you have to have 2-face-to-face blank pages in your passport. Don't know requirement for Namibia, so check their website.

Passports also have to be valid for six months after you leave the country.

Thanks, Leann. I've gotten into the habit of renewing my passport prior to the 6 month mark now so that I don't get stuck with a last minute problem.

Just as a note, South Africa has been known to be very strict on requiring at least 2 (or is it 3?) blank pages to be left in the passport. I realize that that is a general requirement but I have not found it to be an issue in many countries but had a friend whose girlfriend was refused entry last year from the UK because she was short of pages.
