Hi Elineetk,
I recommend you contact Michael Diamond at Heritage Tours in New York. We don't plan trips to Morocco so when my clients ask me how to do it, I refer them to Michael. Google him and you will find plenty of reassuring information. Everyone I have ever sent his way has been 100% happy with their private tour. Keep in mind, I think he only does "high end" or "upscale". Also, he may not want your business if he can't book the hotels since there is margin to be made on the hotels (without costing you extra). Also, he will have great relationships with all the hotels and you are best served to have them booked by Michael to get you better rooms, upgrades etc. I have stayed at many luxury hotels in Marakkesh so post back on here if you want my opinion. Also, go to Dar Ahlam if you can!

For Marakkesh, I think Royal Mansour feels a little manufactured and so does Four Seasons. La Mamounia is a great hotel if you like big ones and I would stay there again any time for any occasion - lots of history. Villa de la Oranges is great if you like boutique. These are all luxury properties because I prefer to travel less often but in a better style when I do.
Dar Ahlam, what can I say? It is one of the top places on earth I wish to return to with my wife. Because of work, I often end-up in cool places by myself. That was the case with Dar Ahlam. I was with a businessman from Franfurt at one of the most romantic (in that distinctively Moroccan way) hotels on earth!

My husband and I are planning a 12 day trip to Morocco. We have booked all of our accommodations and only need a driver and guides for Fez and Marrakesh. I know Heritage Tours is wonderful, but we like to plan our own trip and they are above our budget. So, that said, any recommendations? There are so many on the internet - how does one determine reliability?
