Private guide, non-self drive Namibia with Wild Dog Safaris in June
Self drive is most popular for Namibian trips, and with good reason. But not for me. Lots of nice group trips out there using lodges and/or campgrounds. But none were exactly what I wanted.
So I booked a 3-week privately guided trip for one with Wild Dog Safaris in June. It was my first visit to Namibia that took me to deserts, dunes, Etosha, and the feral desert horses in Aus.
Fabulous trip! Itinerary, drive times, distances and photos are in the linked report.

Although a solo privately guided Namibian safari is not very common, it can be done, and the cost was similar to private solo safaris that I have done in East Africa.
When I was researching privately guided solo trips to Namibia I did not find too much. So I'll share my highly positive experience.

GREAT trip report Lynn - thanks for posting!
We loved our self drive around Namibia - and now we laugh at the flat tires (yes, plural).
I think I have the same photos of your Deadvlei trees!
I cared less for the watering hole experience --- somehow sitting on benches around a waterhole felt weird but we had just come from the bouncing around the Serengeti and went on to Botswana. Nonetheless Namibia is one of our all time favourite destinations.
Best

It's all coming back to me now. I remember I was impressed with all you saw, Elizabeth!
