Your photos are amazing - I especially enjoyed the close-ups of the gorillas and monkeys. Leopards and lions in a tree - Sigh! How wonderful!
May I ask what your (flight) route was between the Serengeti and Rwanda. Did you take the direct flight between Arusha and Kigali? CR

Hi Robin
Thanks for that tip! And thanks for your lovely comments, I do love photography on the trip and the work when I get home as you forget so many things from the beginning of the trip, it always brings back some fabulous memories!
From our lodge in the western corridor of the Serengeti, we flew in a plane to Arusha, with 3 stops inbetween to pick up guests from other lodges. We then hopped on a plane to Kilimanjaro and then hopped on another plane directly to Kigali, which was excellent not to have to go back to Joburg. It was a longish day with many plane trips but at least we got to Kigali in one day to overnight there before heading to the VNP.
Kind regards
Kaye
Thanks traveler318! Happy to share!

Thanks Cateyes555, when you take as many as I seem to, I usually get some goodies, but with the gorillas hard to get the light OK as sometimes in shade and othertimes in the glaring sun! Oh well!
Yes it was a nice camp though had a mixup with our accommodation which was not their fault but one of the middlemen stuffed up!
And I love the animal rehab work, do it at home as well, though with different animals, of course!
Kind regards
Kaye

Yes, I had the same problem in Rwanda. The light was low level and my camera shutter would just stay open too long, so I came home with lots of blurry photos - frustrating. I'm sure those who are better photographers than I could have done better. But no photo could ever take the place of the memories

I think many do Cateyes555 and everything seems to happen so quickly! I had a lot of misses as well! For me, the photos make the memories very clear, maybe because I am looking at the photos fairly regularly which helps. I really don't think I would have the clear memories without the photos as backup!
Kind regards
