I just googled "mena house oberoi renovation" and found the following details:
"A major $20 million renovation programme is taking place at Mena House Oberoi. Refurbishment of the Mena Garden Rooms has been completed. Refurbishment of 30 rooms near the Palace lobby began in February 2009 and is expected to take 9 to 12 months. Renovations to the rooms & suites in the Palace section begins in October 2009 and is expected to take between 9 and 12 months.
The two new restaurants will start operating in July/August 2009 and consequently The Palace restaurants and outlets will go out of service at this time.
The new Mena Garden Pool will start operating in July/August 2009 and the main hotel pool will close at this time and will be replaced by green landscape.
Renovation work to the golf course will begin on March 15 2009 and is expected to take 9 months. There is no longer a tennis court (due to lack of demand) (Updated 14Jan)
Renovation of all the rooms (328 rooms including 3 suites) in the Garden Wing is now complete. Work is underway to complete the pathways, water bodies and fountains within the landscaped gardens. In addition, two new restaurants, the swimming pool, spa and fitness centre are also nearing completion. A dedicated team of Interior Designers is working on the details involved in the restoration of the Palace. The restoration activities are expected to commence in the second half of 2010. As a consequence, we are delighted to confirm that the Palace guest rooms, suites and public areas will be open to guests until 31st May, 2010 (Update 2 Oct 2009)."
