The Banyan Tree is lovely and one of the newest. There is also the private resort on Fregate Island, and one on North Island (the newest).
There were some comments a few months back regarding Banyan Tree, North and Fregate. Why not do a search and see what information was contained in those threads.

Thanks sandi. I did do a search and read some of the previous posts but was hoping for a few more details -- perhaps from more recent visitors. Compared to more popular destinations, there doesn't seem to be much out there. But then again, maybe that's what makes it such a special destination!

Babette -
You got it right! It's a special place and admittedly many American's haven't visited the islands.
I don't know what sites you've checked, but there are lots available if you do a "search". Surprisingly, the one I picked - www.sey.net - didn't have the Banyan Tree info, but did have Fregate and North Island. Go thru as may sites from your search and see if you can find info on Banyan Tree, it should be there.
What in particular are you looking for? Maybe I can help!

Sandi, thank you for being so helpful!
I have checked out a few general websites and I found seychelles.com to be useful.
But, I was hoping to hear from someone who had stayed at the Banyan Tree or one of the other top hotels. Sometimes they can provide some useful insight before booking.
I do think we'll go with Banyan Tree. It really looks fabulous.
Thank you.
