Namibia--tours?

Hi there,
i've been on a tour with Nomad Africa Adventure Tours. It started in Cape Town through Namibia, Botswana to Victoria Falls. But you can also just do the Namibia- part of the tour.
It was a really good experience and the guides were great! They had such good knowledge about the country.
I had an amazing time and met so many nice people (I travelled alone as well)

As Heidi mentioned, Nomad is a good operator for the SA-Mamibia-Botswana-Vic Falls routes. Others you can try are Jenman Safaris, Intrepid and Drifters. All have reasonably good reputations and their guides are generally good (but as always depends on the luck of the draw).
It depends quite a bit on your budget. You'll generally get pretty much what you pay for, and competition is fierce in the overland (budget) market. It's best to go for a mid-priced option, than base your deecision on price only, because the cheapies can be just that.
If you provide some more detail about your own expectations, or if you want comments on a specific company, we can give more focused recommendations.

Thimbi Thimbi Safaris based in Windhoek offer budget camping with an opportunity to upgrade accommodation in some places, http://www.chameleonsafaris.com/thim...bi_safaris.asp Upgrades were available for most nights on the Etosha and Northern Namibia itineraries.
I've done Drifters safaris and they are reasonable value for money, but they are participation safaris and its for this reason that I wouldn't travel with them again.
A friend of mine did a Jenman safari and had a good time, although I seem to remember that she commented that passengers in the rear of the vehicle had their view obscured due to the high seat/low window.
If you contact Intrepid, I'd ask for details of sub-contracted the companies providing the land safaris and maybe check back here if you have any questions.

I think Pol's comments are quite valid, and food for thought. Participation camping safaris can become quite a pain.
You can also look at "Truly Africa Tours" and "Namibian Tours and Safaris", both based in Namibia.
The ground operator handling Intrepid is called Intrepid Bundu, and are directly affliated with Intrepid worldwide. They are considered a reputable operation in Southern Africa.
