My trip to Egypt .....

I regret not listening to my friends that advise me not to go there . Before I was there I read a lot of good s reviews mainly for the Egyptians and a lot of bad reviews mainly from the tourists .
At first I was amazed by the cheap prices for a hole week in Egypt with a tour include 2 cities it costs only 700 euro. We arrived at the airport 6 :00 AM in the morning it was a mess but we didn't have any problem . We get through the security without any baggage or personality check .
We arrived to the hotel Gawharat Al-Ahram two hour later because of the crowd and the protesters as we heard later . The hotel was "not bad " in the middle-east standards I think.
Our baggage was delayed to be sent to our rooms . The food was the worst thing there I think it was not well preserved "two of the Germans in our tour get food poisoning" and later I had a check up and I got Salmonella Dysentery .
The next day we went to the Pyramids one of the greatest wonder man ever made it was a disaster the harassment , the number of poor people begging of money , the harsh beating to the poor camels and the lack of modernization of the surroundings . The next two days we visit the Egyptian Museum " saw the one of the Pharaoh mask" , the Tolon Mosque "it was also poorly taken cared of with piles of garbage ", the old Cairo , the Salah El-Din castle and some other less interesting places we suppose to visit other areas as the plan said but unfortunately because of the lack of security we didn't for everyday we stayed there I heard a gun shot almost twice daily it was scary .
Then we took the bus to Hurghada we arrived at the morning and we stayed in a hotel called Aqua Park Club . I personally get robbed there maybe from one of the workers or the room cleaners . It was a nice city very quite in the morning but in the evening you can see the protesters every where . In regard the security it was not so good . The weather was good very sunny

My experience the harassment there is a quite a problem . The security is very low I heard about 3 persons drowned , 2 get fired and two get jailed for no reason at all . I think the 700 euros were a lost of money and as an advice I think it is better to wait this year and not to visit Egypt .

Guess you've never been to India...

Maybe you would have had a better trip if you had paid more.

Sorry you had a bad experience, but I am not surprised your experience was poor.

You obviously did not do any research and were not properly prepared for this trip or what to expect once you reached Egypt. And the price you paid for a week was not something that would provide you with an enjoyable experience.

Agree with the other posters. You should have done more research.
