Morocco tunics for women

I'm going to Morocco in May and am fine with what type of clothing to take. But, I would like to buy some long tunics to wear over jeans (and perhaps layer with a tee shirt for cold eves). Since we are starting out in Marracheck I wondered if I can easily fine them there?
Thanks for your help.

You would look better wearing your own clothes provided you dress modestly.

May will be hot, why add a layer of clothing if not necessary. Yes, your attire should be modest in towns and small villages, but your own clothing will be fine.

Of course, if you can find before leaving home, loose fitting lite-weight tops that don't hug the body being more comfy during the heat of day OR there's always shopping once in-country.

If evenings are cool, a shawl, pashmina, jacket or sweater will work just fine.

Thanks, for your thoughts. I love wearing tunics and do at home (very old ones from India which need to be replaced.) I figured it would be cold in the eve and thats when I would need to layer them as I get cold really easily. I just thought perhaps I could get some cool looking ones while there and be able to wear them at home.

My wife picked one up, a man's size because the woolen ones are usually for men, which she uses as a house robe. The problem was that it had to be shortened and the edging was lost at the bottom because it unravels as soon as it is cut. Since we were staying in Fez a few days, we probably should have gone to a tailor to have the robe made to her size, or at least ask the vendor to have one made for her.
