Morocco--rent motorcycle without license

Hi all,
I'm going a 2.5 week trip to Morocco and really want to explore independently on a motorcycle, but only have a regular driver's license that doesn't cover a motorcycle permit. I've done long motorcycle several times before, but in countries where renters are more lax about requiring a proper license. Generally, they just required a larger deposit. Just wondered if anyone knew whether you can find similarly "generous" renters in Morocco (location isn't a big issue, Casablance, Marrakech, whatever). I'm well aware that I'm taking on a risk and this isn't advisable, etc., but an answer would still be appreciated.
Thanks!

Make it easy on yourself and go get a motorcycle license before your trip.

Not a lot of bikers on Fodor's, a few but likely a lot more on the Thorn Tree on Lonely Planet's website.

Unfortunately, there isn't time to get it because I leave in about 2 weeks. And believe it or not, I put the same post on Thorn Tree and no responses so far!

If you're committed to going ahead with the plan, I suggest you contact any accommodations you've booked, especially in the bigger places like Casa or Marrakech, as they very well may have some information for you about where you might find a bike to rent.

It occurs to me, too, to tell you that police checks on the roads aren't uncommon, maybe another reason to rethink it, unless you discover that no special license is required.

Plus, if you have insurance it will be invalidated if you do not have the appropriate license. You will be financially liable not only for your own medical treatment in the event of an accident, but treatment and damages for any other parties. Rent a car.

I doubt a car is in the cards. As the OP said, in effect, don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up. I have no problem with that position as he (she?) seems prepared for possible "complications".

Well I didn't respond on Thorn Tree as I had already responded on TripAdvisor.

Or, even worse, land up in the pokey (jail). Rent a car or take buses or trains or grand taxis.

"Or, even worse, land up in the pokey (jail)."

Indeed. That was included in "complications".
