Hello Friends! Am Steven from German but living in United State. Am planning my trip to Tanzania, just want to see the crazy mountain Kilimanjaro and test it. I have tried to make research to different company in Tanzania and Kenya which offer mountain trek. Finally i have been interested with these two company due to there low price, since am in tight budget. Could anyone advise me about this two company, i will appreciate it. Bobby Camping or Loxodonta African Adventure.

No! No! Kilimanjaro might not be Everest, but it can and does kill. Do NOT go for cheap. Depending on the route, anything less than $1,500 is asking for trouble. The company offering low prices is cutting corners somewhere and that's the last thing you'd want on the mountain.

Not familiar with (never heard) of either of the names above.

Sorry, don't know either of those two outfitters. They may be fine, but as sandi notes, price should not be your top priority.

Two of the better-known budget outfitters who seem to get good reviews are Good Earth Tours and Zara.

On my 2005 climb I used a different outfitter but the price was all bundled in as part of a safari package, so not sure how much the Kili portion was.

Most important is to add in an acclimatization day at 12,000-13,000' on the ascent. Note that Good Earth adds that on their Marangu Route, see day 4:

If you do Macahame then add a day by camping at Karanga instead of walking right past it. We did this on our trip, and it was HUGE in making the climb more enjoyable. I was 55 at the time and we easily passed by people in their 20's on summit day, partially because of that acclimatization.

There was one person near death from altitude illness that we saw on the way down.

Consider that, and good luck! Kili is a great trek.

Yes i hate low price and i discover some information about Kilimanjaro its "Kill". I received the Quotation from Loxodonta African Adventure the price goes 1600Usd per person 6 days machame route which comprises Accommodation, Transport, entry fee, food and more...

I will also consider goodearthtours, since i have enough time to arrange my trip. i really need to see the Kilimanjaro and test it.

NoTE: One more question, which route you think can be more easy to climb it with different people?

steve02, My research led us to the Machame Route as being one of the more scenic on the mountain, better than Marangu. It is crowded, but that is just part of the scene on Kili, and that part can be fun. At least everyone is going in the same direction, which helps.

There are routes on the other side of the mountain if you want less crowds, but some of them like Lemosho merge with Machame anyway. Depends on what you are looking for.

Machame also has the benefit of a built-in acclimatization day because after Shira camp you must climb up to 14,500 ft (4,400 m) to reach Barranco camp back down at 13'000 (3,900 m). This "climb high, sleep low" is perfect for acclimatization. Then, if you stop at Karanga for another night at 13,000 you should be in decent shape to push up to Barafu then next day.

So my vote goes to Machame, but partially depends on if you prefer a bit more solitude.
