Kenya or Tanzania in December

Hi,

My husband and I are thinking of going for a safari this December. We are looking at 10th to 17th.. I wanted to know which of these two Kenya or Tanzania would be better.. Kenya seems considerably cheaper than Tanzania. We dont mind paying more for Tanzania if it has better game viewing compared to Kenya..byt if its going to be getting comparable experience then we would like to go for Kenya..I also read that migration in Tanzania happens Late Dec to March... Is there a possibility we might get to see it? N is that a reason for the higher pricing? What has been your experience? Your comments are very much appreciated

The prices are higher in Tanzania than Kenya, even Visa costs.
Granted the wildebeest are getting ready for their 'calving' but this doesn't happen till February. And, there are residential wildebeest in Kenya who also 'calve' in February.

So ask yourself - 'jow much is it worth to see thousands of wildies hanging around gnu-gnu-ing till they drop little ones?' You will see much the same and probably more species in Kenya.

See my rely to you on Trip Advisor.

Unlike us humans, animals do not go on vacation. They're around all year, but they have freedom to roam. The leopard is a night creature and always elusive, though can be found during daytime; rhino likewise often located in specfic areas. Otherwise, you won't miss out on anything.

Hi Zombie,
Careful to those offering ready at hand contacts!Wish you all the best in your plans. If you are under budget, Kenya is far much cheaper since they have options in term of transport and park entry fees arent high either.Equally you will get high-end prices for top quality properties and get to see what you can and will in Tanzania. If you land in Nairobi,it will be better to stay put and enjoy in Kenya.
Gather more info...

Thanks for your replies. After a lot of deliberation and talking to a lot of other people, we have chosen to go to Kenya. It was offering us the best deal within our budget and time constraints.
We booked our tickets today Cant wait for december to come now!!
