Kenya 6 Days

Hi, As part of our August 2016 trip we have 5 nights to spend on Safari in Kenya. We are staying 3 nights at Porini Lions Camp. Should we spend the other 2 nights in the Masai Mara as well? or go to another area? Has anyone stayed at the Porini Bush Camp?
Thank you
Patrissimo

I've stayed at Porini Lion for 5 nights and I was never bored. Ive been on 3 safaris now and if I had only 5 nights to spend, I'd spend them there. The guiding is wonderful and I've never seen so many big cats anywhere. The conservancy Porini Lion is in is known for its big cat populations. Remember that changing location is going to eat into time you could be spending seeing wildlife, between packing up, moving on and settling into a new place. I'd stay at Porini Lion if you can!

I've stayed at Porini Lion for 6 or 7 nights in a row and I would do it again. Actually, I have also stayed at 2 other camps in very close proximity to Porini Lion for 6 or 7 nights in a row.

Porini Lion is in an excellent location. It's located inside the Conservancy but it is just minutes outside of the Masai Mara. I wouldn't change camps.

Thank you for your responses. Now the Lions camp is full and they have offed us 2 nights at Porini Bush camp. Does anyone know it? It is a mobile camp. Any thoughts are appreciated.

If you don't need to stay in the Porini family, try Asilia and one of the Bush Houses in the same conservancy as Porini Lion or Great Plains Conservation with camps in the same conservancy.

I've stayed at Porini Mara Camp in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy. The plus to that conservancy is only those two camps have access to it. I've been to Ol Kinyei twice now on two different safaris and did not think the game was as good as at Porini Lion. I'd go with sundowner's suggestion and try to stay in the same conservancy as Porini Lion. Asilia is another well respected name in the area, I stayed with them in a different conservancy last month.

Where did you go, Amy? Did you like it? We went with Asilia in 2014 and spent 6 nights in Olare Motorogi Conservancy and 2 nights in Mara North. We much preferred the OMC.

I was at Encounter Mara in Naboisho. I liked the camp but I felt the big cats were still better in OMC! If I were to return to the Mara, I'd head right to OMC again.

Thank you so much for your help. At the moment we are 3 nights at Porini Lions Camp and 2 at Porini Bush camp. The latter is a mobile camp. I hope that it will be good.
Has anyone been to Daini Beach? Any thoughts? Safety? etc?
