Itinerary needed for four days in Morocco

Our ship is docking in Casablanca for at least 4 days.
We would like to do the markets in Marrakech and some kind of camel trek with maybe an overnight in a Nomad tent type of arrangement….not sure about that.
We are three 21 year old young ladies so we need to be safety conscious.
Please let us know what we should consider doing.
Someone suggested..casablanca to Marrakech to Zagoura via high Atlas and back to Marrakech then back to Casablanca. Does that sound ok..that way we get the camel ride and time in the desert area.
Someone else suggested Marrakech to Skoura, Skoura to Merzouga and then back to Marrakech via Draa valley.
I really have no idea what would be a good itinerary…please advice me..thanks so much.

Not an expert but just got back from Morocco. We did not stay in Casablanca because we were told by many people to skip it. So based on what others said, I would leave upon arrival.

We went to the desert and it was the best part of the trip. Having said that, 4 days is not much time and you're looking at two full days of driving leaving only 2 days for anything else. We went to Merzouga because the desert is right there. From Zagora you still have quite a ways to go to get to where you'd camp as in several more hours. As special as the Sahara is, it may be for another trip when you have more time.

Marrakech we liked very much I would just caution that 3 21 year old females may get a bit hassled. I don't think anything would happen, but just remember to dress conservatively and stay together. Or better yet find some guy on the ship to escort you. There's enough to do in Marrakech for a couple of days if you want to explore the city.

We did go to Skoura, which is kind of quiet and may not be what you're looking for. We liked it very much but that was primarily due to the wonderful hotel we stayed at where we chilled for two days.

I think if I were you I'd skip the desert and head to the beach. Essaouira may be more to your liking. We didn't go but we met many people who really enjoyed it. You also go through Argan country and the High Atlas mountains to get there. I would hire a car and driver. It will cost more but you will feel safer. Unless you speak French, Arabic or Berber, language can be difficult. I don't recommend the Grand Taxis between towns. Based on what we saw, it looked pretty miserable. 6 people squeezed into a car and besides your friends you won't know who you'll be driving with.

Morocco is fascinating and in spite of some of the hassling, we loved it. Just go with the flow.
