How to easily get from Sharm to Aqaba

Hi there,

I can't seem to find reliable information on the best way to get from Sharm to Aqaba. Have you traveled this route within the last few weeks and can offer a solid recommendation?

Thanks so much for your input!

Friends very recently went to Petra with a group tour from
Sharm for the day. Is that something you would be interested in? Is that the goal of getting to Aqaba? If so, I'm asking them to give me the contact info.

Hi Casual Cairo,

Per your message on Frommers, we are going to stay in Aqaba for three nights (as our base) and then visit Petra, the Wadi Rum and maybe some other sites. I think we can figure out the visit to Petra and Wadi Rum on our own once we get to the hotel. Right now, we just trying to figure out how best to get from Sharm to Aqaba. But you if you have insights on a tour that can help us with this entire leg of our trip, we'd definitely be open to that.

Thanks so much!

Since you are looking for an extended stay there are two companies I would probably contact to see what they can offer -

1 - Egypt Panorama Tours at http://eptours.com/

2 - Sharm el Sheikh Excursions at [email protected]

I personally use EPT when I need things, but had friends recently use SSE and were very pleased.
Best of luck. Wish I could help more with some practical personal advice.

The hi-speed ferry from Nuweiba. Nuweiba is much closer to Sharm than Taba. The journey takes just over one hour.
