How to and not to apply for a visa for South Africa

Jump to last reply

I entered South Africa to marry a Capetonian, entering as a UK national without a specific visa. I feel this was not wise, because if we had used an agency from the start, I would have saved money on a return ticket and just got a one-way. Anyway, once here, we did use an agency, and honestly, it was much easier. The next time round was when planning my permanent visa. We went back to http://www.samigration.co.uk whom we found very helpful the first time round. Honestly, if you are planning to travel here for longer than you are covered for, it´s best to get your visa sorted before you arrive. I think that´s the least hassle and expense way of doing it.
