Help with international transfer at JBO

We have a relatively short transfer time (1hr 40m) on our way Maun-JBO-Bangkok return flights, at least if the flight from Maun is delayed at all. I have just realised JBO is completely different from the last time I was there, and we appear to be arriving at Terminal B and departing from Terminal A.

If our flight is delayed can anyone give me an idea of how far we have to go and how long the transfer desk experience is likely to take (our experience last time was that it was fine, but I have no idea if it is typical).

Also, any problems checking baggage through from Maun to an international destination, and, if it may not be possible, we don't have to brave those immigration and customs queues do we?

Clarification: How far we have to go from Terminal B to Terminal A that is.

JBO? Do you mean Johannesburg, JNB?
If the whole trip is not on one ticket, you'll have to pass immigration and customs with bags and check in again. Departure terminals depend on destination - some international flights depart from the 'international' one too. JNB is not that large, 5-10mins from one to the other.

Kimburu,

Visited twice last year, you can book your bags all the way to your home destination from Maun. Whether on one ticket or not, they only need the onward flight number and evidence that you are booked on the flight.

Air Botswana should arrive at the international terminal (A), where you can simply pass through international transfers. There are desks for all the major airlines if you need to collect tickets etc.

Terminal B is domestic, so it would seem strange for AIr Bots to land there.

JBO? Yes I mean JNB. Where did JBO come from? I forget to tie my shoelaces sometimes too.

Thanks for that, lbj. Actually I think I was on something last night as it is Thai Airways that I believe leaves from Terminal B! Is big problems with capital letters the symptom of any disease? Maybe it's just over-excitement.

Anyway, as long as we can check bags through from Maun I guess we have plenty of time.
