Help re taxi to Wadi Rum to or from Wadi Musa

Would we have any difficulty getting a taxi at the Wadi Rum visitors center to go to the Wadi Araba border crossing? About how much do you think that would cost?

Would it make more sense to hire the same taxi that we take from Wadi Musa to Wadi Rum to wait for us while we take a 2-hour jeep ride, and then take us on to Wadi Araba? About how much would that cost? What would be the best way to arrange it (hotel in Petra?)?

Or do you think we could get a taxi at the border to take us to Wadi Rum, wait a couple of hours, and then take us to Wadi Musa?
