Hello, my husband and I are planning a trip to South Africa and are thinking about planning and booking our trip through www.go2africa.com. Has anyone used them? Thanks!

Thanks, Tom! I just searched and people seem to have very positive things to say. Obviously I'm new to this whole message board thing

My husband and I used go2africa.com to plan a trip to Victoria Falls and Chobe Savanna last fall. They were very helpful, very responsive to our requests and questions, had good suggestions for staying within our budget. Our flight from London to JNB was delayed and we missed the flight to Victoria Falls. I telephoned go2africa and they took care of contacting Ilala Lodge in Vic Falls about the delayed arrival, reorganized the transportation arrangements, etc. The stay they arranged for us in Chobe Savanna was just exactly what we wanted, and just exactly as they said it would be. The somewhat complicated road and river transports all went off without a hitch, with road transfer within Zimbabwe, meeting another transfer in Botswana, then meeting a river transfer into Zambia, then return transfers to catch a flight in Vic Falls. It was a wonderful add-on, all planned and executed extremely well, thanks to the lovely people at go2africa.

I used them last year for a trip to South Africa. They booked our flights, hotels, rental car, and transfers. We had one small hitch with a transfer to/from the Timbavati reserve, but our agent did a great job finding just the right places for us to stay considering our budget and interests.

Welcome to the excitement of safari planning Pizrick, and to your eventual trip.

Go2Africa has a good reputation. I'd check and compare a couple of agents before making a final decision. It may give you ideas, if nothing else.

I'd also post your final itinerary and any costing that you care to share here. That way you can get feedback from many sources to hone your itinerary.

After checking many different tour companies, I chose Go2Africa and was very happy I did.

I had a great trip planner, Nicky Human, who helped me with anything I needed to know and answered my e-mails promptly. My lodgings, at least looking at them on the Internet, are superb. I didn't choose to tent anytime during my trip and was happy that all my lodgings seem to be right for me. Nicky even set up an electronic payment plan, using a credit card, which helped also. I'm still in touch with her and most probably will be right up to the date of departure.

Go2Africa wasn't the least expensive of all the checking I'd done, but it certainly wasn't the most expensive either. I really don't think you'd regret choosing them and if you're real lucky you may get Nicky to help you out. Good luck with whatever choice you make...............Ve

I had inquired with go 2 africa when booking our trip to africa. they were ok but slow in response and did not seem to have indepth knowledge when it came to specific questions we had. We ended up booking with a company located in washington state - ultimate africa safaris. Ian was very helpful and his knowledge won us over. we just returned from a trip and I would highly recommend ultimate africa, they were spot on.

Hmmm... Interesting that a tour company in Washington state would have more in-depth knowledge than people in Cape Town, South Africa...

We (2 couples) used them too for a trip (14-day safari in South Africa and Botswana) in May 2010. They were fantastic. We had a great time and there were no glitches. They are very responsive and professional. I strongly recommend them.
