DJERBA LA DEUCE??? I AM LOOKING FOR A 5 STAR HOTEL THAT WAS IN DJERBA, TUNISIA. I WAS THERE 20 PLUS YEARS AGO. I MAY BE OFF WITH THE NAME, IT WAS THE ONLY HOTEL OF ITS CLASS THERE AT THE TIME. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE HOTEL? THEY PROBABLY HAVE CHANGED THE NAME - I CAN'T FIND IT LISTED ANYWHERE. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

Cannot comment on this exact hotel, or anything in Tunisia (never been) but it wouldn't surprise me if the hotel has changed its' name, been purchased by someone other than the owners 20-years ago, maybe even been demolished. Suggest you contact the tourist bureau in Tunis.

Sorry if you thought I was yelling at you. Do the case. No pun intended. Twenty years is a long time but a doubt such a hotel would be demolished.

There were 3 decent hotels in Djerba la douce in the 80s.
1- Hotel Ulysse
2- Menzel Djerrba
3- Dar Djerba.

"La douce" is the name of one of the 3 CLUB MED' hotels in Djerba. Not really a 5 stars. la douce is the also the nickname of the island so it might have caused a confusion with the name of the hotel

Hi, I have been to Tunisia last year, Hotel LTD Holiday Beach 5* is a good one, also Vicci El Kantara Thalassa 5* (is the best).
