Disney holiday? Way too dangerous...better off in Africa

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/06/29/coa...ath/index.html

Seems that all the hippos, crocodiles, lions, leopards and other wild animals are tame in comparison to some of the Disney attractions!

Too true. I just think it's so irresponsible to take your children there - don't these parents THINK?

Not being serious Tom.

(But perhaps in bad taste or just not funny, I will admit)

kimburu,

I thought it was pretty funny!

But on a serious note...three fatalities at Disney parks over the last six months...too dangerous for me...I will stick to canoeing the Zambezi and South Luangwa walking safaris.

That's ridiculous to think the whole Disney Game Park is dangerous just because a few irresponsible parents take their children on dangerous rides. My daughter, grandaughter and grandson went to Disney last summer and had a grand time. We visited several theme parks geared to children and the activities were great. I would suggest you get information from Disney and see what attractions they have. There are very tame rides for children. Any rides which might pose danger to anyone have warning signs listed. They are few and far between. They not only have rides but they have stage shows for children and all sorts of other entertaining activities. Check it out.

khori,

This is all meant to be very tongue in cheek!

Just as many there are many people who opt for a "safe" holiday such as Disney, most of us on this board know better than to heed to warnings about the supposed dangers in Africa while on a safari.

Speaking of stapling, Lynda, we could staple the little ones to the seats - no danger, no hippos, no worries, no midget tossing - One more reason to pack the stapler.
I'll stop here, sorry it's late. I must go pack.
