We would want your classic african safari..to be honest I don't know if Tanzania is better than Kenya or South Africa. We would want to see as much wildlife as possible and are active in our 40's
Thanks

There are lots of great trip reports on here to get a sense of what you may want. I've been to 6 countries including all 3 you mention-hard to say any one is "better" than the other-depends on your priorities. ( migration. Off road driving. Night drives. Particular species.. Local culture. Etc)
I'm a big fan of & Beyond. Also vey happy with my experiences with Cheli& Peacock.
Good luck

November can be good in Southern Africa but it is also very hot and can be the start of the rainy season. Others may know more about Kenya/Tanzania regarding seasons.
A few questions for you?
Do you have an idea of budget as this will have a big impact on what type of safari you can consider and how long you can go for? Peak season/high quality can cost between USD600-900 per person per night.
When you say classic, do you mean a lodge type safari or quality camps or a mobile camping safari?
Did you want just a safari or are you combining with coast/vic falls/cape town?

Thanks for the feedback.
I was thinking 4000-5000pp for a 10 day safari. Elephants, lions, rhino , zebras etc were the animals we would love to see. A mobile camping safari is fine just as long as the accomindations are clean and decent. Probably wouldn't be combining additional sightseeing on this trip. Thanks again!

Here is a chart that shows the best wildlife viewing in Africa throughout the year. As climate patterns change, any chart becomes less reliable.

If you are considering East Africa, this site shows perfect safari itineraries for Kenya/Tanzania throughout the year. Here are 5 for Nov.

Check out this index for lots of safaris and operators:

I've gotten some great deals emailed to me for Phinda in South Africa in November. This is the AndBeyond company Nancej mentions.
Mobile camping--This can represent the highest or lowest ends of the market. The luxury mobiles, especially in the Serengeti are the high end--the $600-$900 mentioned by Lynneb. Group camping safaris at public campsites are the low end.
