We're taking their "Snows of Kilimanjaro" next month as part of a month-long trip to Tanzania and Uganda. I'll let you know when we return.

Our family used 2Afrika for two trips to East Africa (2002 and 2004). Comments on company should be included in search Sandi described. Have considered them for other trips we have taken since. And, will include them in planing the next one.Glad to address specific questions.
Always interesting why people ask for feedback on a company after booking.

I used 2Afrika (based now in Manhattan I believe) in June of 2007 for my husband and me. I had asked the same question before booking with them (you can find my posts) but also a friend had used them and recommended them. We had no problems and had a wonderful trip. Unfortunately, I never did a trip report (lack of time mainly). We went to Kenya and Tanzania. The local guides (for us) were Naked Wilderness and Leopard Tours. One guide was more personable than the other but we were lucky enough to see the big 5 and a huge herd of elephants (around 175 or more), among all the other great animals, etc. We were met at the airport when we landed, were driven to a motel in Nairobi (we flew in a day early). That evening, someone from the local tour company came to the hotel to tell us what would happen for the first part of the safari, etc. There were a couple of really long travel days but the lodges were all great and food very good. I'd go with them again. There are some bad posts about 2Afrika on this site but I suspect if something goes wrong with a trip, then it's going to be a bad experience, no matter who the tour company is.

Most of the posts on 2Afrika are good. The bad ones had to do with an African airline suddenly shutting down and 2Afrika did not handle that dilemma as well as they should have. The blame could be shared by 2Afrika and the local ground operator. I agreed in those posts that 2Afrika was lacking in their follow through. But even the people who were unhappy with 2Afrika's handling of the airline snafu felt that the safari itself was great. I don't know how other companies handled that air situation, but I don't recall reading any complaints.

I would consider them for future travels.
