I'm happy so many people loved this trip. My mother and I also went on this trip in the summer of 2006 and I am hoping to get this trip as an auction for my children's school. We had so much fun and really enjoyed every aspect. We stayed in the tent camps for 2 nights and it was amazing. I can't wait to take my children to South Africa.
As for the people who had enough of the safaris by the fourth or fifth day, I was not one of them. I could have continued for another week. Each day we saw something different. Although the first day we were the luckiest with the number of animals, on the fourth night upon arriving home from a side trip we actually saw two giraffes sitting in the field. We were told that they only sit for 10 minutes a day and we happened upon them. So if you love animals in their "natural" habitat (they are confined) then you would love this trip.
I hope more people post their experiences because reading everyones trip makes me remember the wonderful and truely exceptional time I had with my mother.
